An Approach To Waterfall Methodology And Test Documentation

Page history last edited by david 15 years, 7 months ago

The waterfall methodology is predictive and largely used for more stable projects. The model may be viewed as a divide-and-conquer approach to development. It enables to track project progress across phases and forces the organization to adopt a more structural approach to develop software. The waterfall model also requires documentation to be generated which will be used to test and maintain the system.

Documentation should be a part of the testing and its upto management to plan their test schedule including the time required for the documentation. Consequently,
test documentation has become a part of every organization' s software-testing-life-cycle.
